Juniper and Asthma Foundation WA are holding a free information session for seniors on asthma and other linked chronic respiratory conditions.
One of Australia’s most widespread chronic health problems, asthma can present at any age. According to Asthma Foundation WA one in ten adults in Australia live with asthma and some have the condition without even knowing it.
The free information session will look at the safe management of asthma in older people and covers the following topics:
- What is asthma?
- Common asthma triggers and how to minimise them
- The difference between asthma medications
- How to use and clean a spacer
- The importance of an asthma action plan
The information session will be held on Tuesday 16 June, 10.30am, at Byford Hall, South Western Hwy.
